S/314 George III Mahogany Night Table

The one-piece solid mahogany top has a surrounding shaped gallery with a cut-out carrying handle to each side and a dipped front edge. The front comprises of a single tambour sliding door, enclosing a generously sized area of most useful proportions. The base has now been converted to a single, two panelled drawer, each banded in mahogany, with boxwood stringing and fitted with two brass plate handles and slides forwards on split front legs in the traditional manner.

The whole, with a polished back, is raised on square legs with edge mouldings and is of a pleasing colour and patination.
