S/316 Early Nineteenth Century Mahogany Writing/Work Table

The rectangular top lifts to reveal an adjustable writing slope finished in dark green hide with a gilded border and a removable pen tray, wafer slide and two ink pots.

The oak lined drawer under and the green lined and silked sewing bag are each locked with a steel and brass locking pin fitted to the front edge and accessed when the top is raised.

The whole, outlined with holly stringing, is fitted with ebony knob handles to all sides, including false ones to the back, false top drawer and false side drawers, and is raised on four ring turned, tapered legs of the traditional design.
