S/328 George III Mahogany Enclosed Square Washstand

The divided and hinged top, with a boxwood strung edge, opens to reveal a cut out for a jug and basin etc., with a shaped frieze on all four sides and having a central shelf below with a cedar lined drawer under, retaining its original brass Dutch drop handle.

The whole is raised on slender legs, joined at the base with a four sided, concave shaped shelf, having a raised and turned central circle and is of a pleasing colour and in good condition.
