S/352 George III Mahogany Corner Washstand
The top, having a rounded low splash back with quarter shelf, has now been fitted with a removable top, which conceals cut-outs for a jug and basin etc. The central shelf has an oak lined drawer and two false drawers to either side, all fitted with Dutch drop handles. The shaped front apron, above, compliments the design.
The whole of an elegant design is raised on swept front legs joined by a serpentine flat stretcher, with a raised and turned circle for an ewer and is a good rich colour, retaining a patination.
