S/897 George III Mahogany Pembroke Table
The one-piece solid mahogany oval top, with a rounded edge and decorated with tulipwood crossbanding and boxwood stringing, has a folding leaf to each side, which is supported by twin wooden knuckle hinges.
The base is fitted with a mahogany lined drawer decorated with boxwood stringing, and fitted with brass knob handles, lock and key to one end. To the opposite side is a false drawer in the traditional design.
The whole is raised on square tapered legs retaining brass cup castors and is a pleasing light honey colour, in good condition and retains a patination.
