S/375 George III Mahogany Night Table

The one-piece solid mahogany top has a surrounding gallery with a cut-out carrying handle to each side and back, and has a dipped front edge. The front comprises of a single door, which lifts up and then slides back under the top, and encloses a sizeable area of most useful proportions. The base has now been converted to a single drawer, which slides forwards on split front legs in the traditional manner.

The whole, fitted with brass handles and having a polished back, is raised on square legs with edge mouldings and is a pleasing honey colour retaining a patination.
