S/381 George III Mahogany Bow Fronted Corner Cupboard

The stepped and concave cornice, with herringbone inlay, is above a frieze decorated with boxwood stringing and a central floral motif of sycamore and boxwood. The two doors outlined with conforming boxwood stringing, giving the appearance of panelled doors, have brass 'H' hinges, ivory urn escutcheons and are divided by a brass astragal. The doors are fitted with a lock and key and open to reveal three bow fronted shelves and the base shelf, which is above two small oak lined drawers fitted with small brass knob handles.

The whole, with a conforming base moulding, is a pleasing colour, in good condition and retains a patination.
