S/866 George IV Mahogany Work Table

The one-piece solid mahogany top, with a reeded edge, opens to reveal a compartment for ones sewing requisites. To the front is a false drawer above a mahogany lined drawer fitted with a removable tray with seven compartments.

The whole, fitted with mahogany knob handles, is raised on a well turned stem supported by four reeded swept legs in the traditional design for the period, which terminate with brass lion paw castors. The table is in good condition, a pleasing colour and retains a patination.
