S/400 George II Walnut Dressing Mirror

The vertical, rectangular plate is within a crossbanded, moulded frame, with top re-entrant corners, and a decorative gilded inner slip. The mirror frame is hung between two scratch stock and tapered supports with adjustable ring side screws and brass acorn finials.

The stepped base is fitted with three oak lined drawers, the outer two fitted with small brass knob handles, with the central drawer having a shaped brass escutcheon plate, lock and key.

The whole is raised on small bracket feet and has a good colour retaining a patination.
