S/412 George III Mahogany Night Table
The one-piece solid mahogany top has a surrounding gallery with a cut-out carrying handle to each side and a dipped front edge. The front comprised of a single tambour sliding door, enclosing sizeable area of most useful proportions.
The base has now been converted to a single drawer, fitted with a brass plate handle, sliding forwards on split front legs in the traditional manner.
The whole, with a polished back, is raised on square legs with edge mouldings, and is a good rich colour retaining a patination.
