S/472 George III Mahogany Night Table

The one-piece solid mahogany top has a surrounding gallery with a cut-out carrying handle to each side and back, and has a dipped front edge. The front comprises of two doors, fitted with a brass Dutch drop handle, which when open reveal a sizeable area of most useful proportions. The base has now been converted to a single oak lined drawer, which slides forwards on split front legs in the traditional manner.

The whole, fitted with a brass bail handle and having a polished back, is raised on square legs and is a pleasing colour retaining a patination.
