S/498 George III Mahogany Night Table
The one-piece solid mahogany top has a surrounding shaped gallery with a straight dipped front edge. The front comprises of a single tambour sliding door, enclosing a sizeable area of most useful proportions. The base has now been converted to a single drawer, fitted with a brass bail handle, which slides forwards on split front legs in the traditional manner.
The whole, with a polished back and decorative brass bail handles to each side, is raised on square legs with edge mouldings and is a good rich colour, in good condition and retains a patination.
