S/528 George III Burr Yew Work Box
The domed lid, outlined with lines of boxwood stringing, opens to reveal an interior lined with its original pink paper. The whole, fitted with a lock and key has a diamond shaped ivory escutcheon, brass lion head ring handles and is raised on brass ball feet.
The box is in good condition, a pleasing colour and retains a patination.
