S/535 George III Mahogany Dressing Mirror

The vertical, rectangular plate is within a crossbanded, moulded frame with a decorative gilded inner slip. The mirror frame is hung between two scratchstock, tapered supports with adjustable Dutch drop side screws and mahogany finials.

The stepped base, with a caddy top moulded edge, is fitted with three oak lined drawers, the outer two fitted with brass knob handles, with the central one having a shaped brass escutcheon plate, lock and key.

The whole is raised on ogee bracket feet and has a pleasing colour, is in good condition and retains a patination.
