S/558 Victorian Papier Mache Tea Caddy

The four sided canted top opens to reveal an interior of two lidded compartments, decorated with gilt motifs, either side of a cut glass mixing bowl.

The whole has concave shaped sides, is raised on shaped platform feet and is profusely decorated with gilt rocaille scrolls and enriched with mother of pearl.
