S/655 Late Victorian Mounted Tortoiseshell and Leather Stationery Box
The tortoiseshell hinged lid has decorative silver mounts and the central silver cartouche is monogrammed and hall marked William Comyns, London 1892. The interior comprises of a leather pen tray, wafer slide and seven compartments for ones stationery.
The whole, with a leather base, is fitted with a lock and is in good condition.
