S/660 Mahogany Wardrobe of the Georgian Period

The removable moulded cornice, with a plain frieze, is above three full sized double panelled doors, each fitted with two brass locks. The right hand door encloses five removable shelves, giving a storage area of useful proportions. The two left doors open, revealing a full width shelf above a brass hanging rail, with a further shelf at the base with two oak lined mahogany faced drawers below, both retaining their original oval fire gilt brass handles. This area at one time had three further full width shelves, which have now been removed and a hanging rail fitted at a later date.

The whole, with a panelled back, is raised on a plinth base, being of a rich colour, in good condition and retaining its patination.

(Left side interior altered and sliding shelves replaced to the right hand side)
