S/926 Victorian Kingwood Brass Bound Jewellery Box by William Lund, London

The well figured top, fitted with a central star shaped brass plaque, opens to reveal a blue velvet fitted interior with a removable tray. A small brass plaque to the rear of the box is inscribed 24 Fleet Street London. To the interior of the lid it is velvet lined and folds forward to reveal a compartment for ones letters and notes.

The whole, fitted with a Bramah lock, brass bound and with a military brass handle to each side, is in good condition, a lovely colour and retains a patination.
