S/997 George III Mahogany Night Table
The one piece solid mahogany top has a shaped surrounding gallery with cut-out lifting handles on all three sides. This is above two well figured doors banded in purpleheart with boxwood stringing, concealing a full sized interior of useful proportions.
The pull-out base, giving the appearance of two drawers outlined with boxwood stringing, and retaining their original brass bail handles, has now been converted to a single oak lined drawer.
The whole is raised on square legs with a moulded edge, and is a mellow colour, in good condition and retains a patination.
(The base converted)
