S/1327 19th Century Beech Measure

An interesting half pint beech measure with a lug handle for corn or nuts dated 1826 with three excise stamps.

The half pint turned from the solid wooden measure externally branded crown over WK over HI signifying the Hemlingford Division of Warwickshire. Also branded crown over WR over 1826 over WRS (WRS so far unrecognised). Also branded crown over quartered shield of Birmingham.
