S/1374 Charles II Oak Coffer

A useful small Charles II oak coffer, with two plain panels to the front, three to the lid, panelled ends and a twin pannelled back, raised on tall stile feet.

One hinge is original, the other has been replaced with an old H hinge, and the exterior of the base has been strengthened with two old planks at some stage.

The whole has a good rich colour and retains a patination.
