S/1463 18th Century Cat

A rare and wonderful 18th century 'half cat' (bowl stand), with three steel removable barley twist supports that screw into a revolving ball which is supported on a column fitted to a semi sphere. That in turn is fitted to a finely turned fruitwood column terminating in a circular turned base.

The whole has a lovely rich colour, a fine patination and is in original condition.
