S/1716 Antique Treen 19th Century Shire Horse

A well carved oak harnessed shire horse (Dobbin), having horse hair fetlocks, mane and tail. Possibly carved on a farm as a child's toy in the Victorian period. The whole has a good rich colour and patination.
