S/1997 Antique Georgian Pair of Brass Hinged Nutcrackers

A small pair of 18th century Georgian hinged brass nutcrackers with interesting decoration and marked T. B. for Thomas Bingham of Birmingham.

Thomas Bingham is listed as working at 12 New Hall Street and then 54 Steelhouse Lane, Birmingham. He was a maker of brass nutcrackers between 1774 and 1793.
