S/2075 William IV Rosewood Jewellery Box

An attractive William IV rosewood jewellery box, having an angled top conforming with the sides, with mother of pearl inlay and pewter stringing. The sides have two rosewood ring handles and the whole is raised on squat bun feet. The interior is lined in blue paper and silk and has a removable lift out tray divided into compartments, with a further compartment under. The whole, fitted with a lock and key, has a pleasing colour and retains a patination.

(padded lid, handles and feet replaced)
