S/2124 Antique Treen 19th Century Lignum Vitae Snuff Pestle and Mortar

A lovely small lignum vitae pestle and mortar for snuff, both made from heart and sap wood. The pestle, with a button top, has circular turnings for grinding snuff, which fits the mortar admirably. Both have a good colour and fine patination.
