S/2383 Antique Treen 19th Century Carved Mahogany Snuff Shoe

An ornately carved mahogany snuff shoe with a protruding heel, having a lid with stalked leaves and a bunch of grapes in high relief. The sides have trailing foliage and the toe has an inset white metal diamond shaped empty cartouche. The whole has a rich dark colour and patination.
