S/2193 Antique Treen 19th Century Lignum Vitae String Barrel

An attractive three section lignum vitae circular string barrel in heart and sap wood, having a well turned and threaded domed lid with a central hole for the string and stepped turnings above the string container, which also has a screw threaded concave and stepped base. The whole has a good rich colour and patination.
