S/2407 Antique Treen 19th Century Fruitwood Negus Strainer
A rare early 19th century fruitwood negus strainer, retaining a pleasing colour and patination. Negus was a beverage made from wine, spices, lemon and hot water and was drunk in the 18th and 19th centuries. These strainers follow a typical form and are difficult to obtain.
