S/2426 Antique Treen 19th Century Large Fruitwood Table Snuff Shoe

An extremely rare very large fruitwood table snuff box in the form of a lady's pointed shoe, having a sliding lid. The whole is decorated with an intricate design in brass pique and panels of mother of pearl heart, diamond, stars and half moons. The sole and protruding heal is also outlined with brass pique. This is the largest snuff shoe we have ever seen, a truly remarkable work of art and a serious collector's item. The whole has a fine rich colour and patination.
