S/2498 Antique 18th Century Georgian Salt or Ice Axe

A good quality 18th century Georgian salt or ice axe, having a rim turned fruitwood handle that has a brass hanging cap finial and collar, with the shaped steel axe showing signs of use with hammer marks on the top edge. The whole is in good condition with a rich patination.
