S/2722 Antique Treen 19th Century Coquilla Nut Snuff Box

An early 19th century well carved French coquilla nut pocket snuff box, having a hinged lid carved with two female missionaries, one holding a cross and the other a bible, in a wooded setting. The reverse is carved with an urn of flowers and it has carved ends. The whole has a good rich dark honey colour and patination.
