S/2771 Antique Sheraton Period 18th Century Satinwood Tea Caddy
A good Sheraton Period two division satinwood tea caddy, the whole edged with boxwood stringing and the lid and front crossbanded in tulipwood. The lid has a shell inlay and front has two oval inlaid panels of leaves and hairbells. The interior has two mahogany lidded compartments, both lined with silver paper. It has original brass stop hinges, oval bone escutcheon and a lock and key. The whole has a lovely rich colour and fine patination.
