S/2979 Antique 19th Century Whale Bone Pastry Jigger

After further research, we have now concluded that this paatry jigger is American, made of whale bone, and has baleen collars joining the three sections. It was probably made on a whaling ship as a love token. Similar examples are known to exist. It is a rare and exciting item for a collector.
