S/3006 Antique 18th Century Iron Bound Oak Bucket

An early 18th century iron bound oak bucket of primitive form, having a wire swing handle. It has now become slightly oval in shape, owing to natural shrinkage of the wood over many years of use. It is an extremely tactile item, if only it could talk! The whole has a good pale honey colour and patination, with an old staple repair and shrinkage cracks, which are more visible in the interior.
