S/3010 Antique Treen 19th Century Mahogany Snuff Box

An unusual upside down double lidded mahogany snuff box of a simple fish design, which to open one has to turn it upside down and swing the small lid sideways, then turn it up the correct way to slide the other lid backwards then sideways. This then exposes the interior to obtain the snuff, which would not be easy if one was inebriated! The whole has a good rich dark colour and patination.
