S/3012 Antique Treen 19th Century Sycamore Cawl Type Love Spoon

An unusual and interesting late 19th century sycamore zig zag chip carved cawl type love spoon, having an open stylised heart above a cross and star. The almost circular bowl is well stained, showing that it has been extensively used, unlike traditional love spoons, that were usually given and hung on a wall. The whole is in good condition and retains a patination.
