S/3050 Antique Treen 19th Century Ebony Mallet

An extremely fine quality ebony mallet commemorating the marriage of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, having a luburnum handle and excellent engine turned decoration throughout. The base, with a portrait bust of Prince Albert and Queen Victoria, has a partially worn inscription 'Regina Et Albert Sax Coburg Gotha'. The whole has a rich dark colour and fine patination.
