S/3084 Antique Treen 18th Century Fruitwood Pestle and Mortar

An 18th century fruitwood pestle and mortar, having a well used interior. The mortar, with a rounded protruding lip above a slightly tapered body, has a central ridge and slightly flanged base. Both are of a pleasing mellow colour and have original patination.
