S/3086 Antique Treen 19th Century Lignum Vitae Nutcracker

A substantial early 19th century lignum vitae nutcracker, probably for walnuts, having a well turned barrel shaped container with a thumb piece and screw thread. The whole has a good rich colour and patination.
