S/3224 Antique Treen 19th Century Beech Crimping Board and Roller

A late Victorian beech crimping board and roller, used for forming the minute crimpings,gatherings or ruckings on 17th, 18th, and 19th century fabrics. The material was first stretched, then dampenned and pleated on the board and rolled untill the desired pleats were formed.
