S/3255 Antique Treen 18th Century Burr Boxwood Spice Shaker

A fine 18th century burr boxwood spice shaker, having a top with a ball and acorn finial, which unscrews to reveal three small holes leading to the interior. The body, of a globular form, is raised on a stepped concave stem, which is seated on a rounded and stepped foot. It has a most wonderful colour, grain and patination.
