S/3273 Antique Treen Edwardian Pine Bowl
An extremely interesting turned pine bowl having a concave vertical foot. The tree has been struck by lightening, possibly up to 5,000 volts, which has partially shattered the wood, leaving it with incised markings that happens to simulate lightening. It has a very noticeable grain, a lovely honey colour and retains a patination.
