S/3395 Antique Treen 19th Century Walnut Weaving Loom

An interesting Victorian walnut weaving loom in the form of a violin, having a bone platform holding two lines of brass headed pins, with a central opening slot. As far as we can ascertain, it would have been used for making lady's silk gloves. The whole has a good rich colour and patination. It has a collector's reference number on the back of 16/739.
