S/3398 Antique Treen Late Victorian Boxwood Baby's Rattle

A well carved boxwood baby's rattle in the manner of an auctioneer's gavel, having a brass sphere to the interior of the perforated head, with a turned handle ending in a small whistle. The whole has a good pale honey colour and retains a patination.
