S/3405 Antique Treen Birch Mortar

An interesting Swedish mortar, carved from solid birch in a natural unpolished finish. It originally had four protruding lugs, now having only two, and was carved from a solid piece of birch root wood, with good knurled grain. It is impossible to date accurately, however we feel it is 18th/19th century.
