S/3409 Antique Treen 19th Century Cedar Wood Beer Flagon

An excellent cedar wood lidded beer flagon of cylindrical and tapered form, having a cut out protruding handle with a wooden hinged lid. The body, of staved construction, is banded with three tiers of double willow. The whole has punched angular decoration and a wonderful rich honey colour and patination.
