S/3487 Antique Treen 19th Century Beech Cake or Pie Peel
A beech arrow head cake or pie peel, having a handle with a rounded end and hole for hanging. These were used for thrusting loaves and pies into a brick oven and for withdrawing them when cooked. The whole has a medium colour and retains a patination.
