S/3545 Antique Treen 18th Century Apple Wood Salt

An excepionally fine mid 18th century apple wood salt, having a top lip above a shallow bowl, raised on twin concave supports, with a central rounded knop. The base has a rounded and stepped form, and the interior and concave base have pronounced ring turnings, which add to this lovely piece of 18th century tableware. The whole has a wonderful honey colour and excellent patination. It has a small shrinkage crack to the bowl.
