S/3510 Antique Treen 19th Century Mahogany Teacher's Fescue (Pointing Stick)
A mahogany teacher's fescue (pointing stick) of tapering form, having a carved vegetable ivory end with bone inlay. These were used for instructing pupils in the classroom. The whole has a rich colour and patination.
